Art Resume/CV of Shen Xiaonan
Born in Guiyang city, Guizhou province, China, Oct.12, 1964.
Currently living in Chongqing, China.
Professional Training and Positions Held
- From
1979 to 1983, studied in the affiliated school of the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.
- From
1983 to 1988, studied in the Sculpture Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute earning his BA.
- From
1988 to now, has taught in the Sculpture Department of Sichuan Fine
Arts Institute; is an Associate Professor (leader of the Master Degree
course in sculpture), as well as being an assistant director of
the Sculpture department.
- From
1993 to 1994, studied in the advanced course of the Central Fine Arts
Academy in Beijing earning his Post-Graduate Fine Arts (Sculpture) degree.
- From
March to June 2002, was awarded a studio residency at the International
Arts City, Paris, France.

- "Folk
Song" was exhibited in the 7th National Arts Exhibition, 1989.
- "Fighting"
was exhibited in the 2nd National Fine Arts Exhibition, 1990.
- "National
Anthem" was exhibited in the Fine Arts Exhibition of Sichuan Province,
1993.
- "Green
Grass" was exhibited in the 1st Young Contemporary Sculptor Exhibition,
1992.
- Solo
Exhibition in the Sichuan Fine Arts Academy Museum, 1993.
- "Cradle
Song" was exhibited in the 8th National Arts, 1994.
- "Crossing"
was exhibited in the Fine Arts Exhibition of Sichuan Province, 1997.
- Participated
in the Bridge The Centuries Young Teachers Arts Exhibition of the
Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, 1997.
- "Shouting"
was exhibited in the 1st Contemporary Sculpture Exhibition of China,
from 1998 to 1999.
- "TV
Family" was exhibited in Conflict and Choice - the 2nd Young
Contemporary Sculptor Exhibition, 2000.
- Participated
in International Sand Sculpture Symposium, Shanghai, 2000
- Created with fellow artists Zhang Yaxi and Laury Dizengremel the Tennis Terracotta Warrior series of sculptures for the ATP / Tennis Master Cup Shanghai 2007
